In our living room, we have a cute white brick fireplace that I’ve been wanting to decorate. I’ve had this vision in my head of what I want, and we finally made it happen!!
It’s simple, but I think it’s so pretty. And the best part? It was CHEAP!
I found the old window at a local farmhouse store. They had a bunch that were buried in the snow, so we sorted through them and when we found the one we wanted, the guy sold it to us for $5! We then went to Hobby Lobby and found the most adorable wreath on sale for 50% off. So we only paid $10! (hobbylobby.com/…osemary-Wreath/p/80806327) Last but not least, we headed to the Dollar Tree and found some ribbon to tie it all together. $16 for the cutest farmhouse style decor? Not too shabby 😉
Suggestions for buying cheap decor:
- Search Facebook marketplace. People are always posting old and new items for sale. That’s how I heard about this window!
- Compare prices. Do your research and see whether or not it’s cheaper to make it, or buy it. I could’ve made my own wreath, but I loved the color of this one and knew it would be better than what I could do!
- Always use a coupon! Hobby Lobby always has a 40% off coupon, so take advantage. Retailmenot.com is also a really good resource to find current coupons and deals.
If you recreate this project, I’d love to see it! 🙂
Lots of love,
